Montenegro’s Citizenship by Investment Program is now officially open and is offering high net worth individuals the opportunity to invest in exchange for citizenship.
The Montenegro passport is practical and powerful, providing visa-free travel and access to Europe’s Schengen Area. What is also noteworthy is that Montenegro is a potential future member of the European Union which will make the passport even more appealing.
Another appealing aspect that may draw many to invest, is the fact that the World Bank classifies Montenegro as one of the fastest-growing Balkan economies, with the country taking steps to establish itself as the location of some of the world’s most important industries.
The Program has a maximum limit of 2,000 applicants. The starting investment is set at €350,000 followed by €100,000 for a government bond fund followed by the option of either €250,000 investment in approved real estate in an undeveloped region, or, €450,000 investment in approved real estate in a developed region.
To qualify for the program the applicant must be 18 or over and meet the investment requirements. Additional family members may be added but extra costs will apply at €10,000 for up to 3 additional family members and any more following the cost will be €50,000.
