Bringing the Blockchain Revolution to Healthcare
A few days ago, professionals from a variety of backgrounds including healthcare, insurance and blockchain, met up to discuss the future of healthcare through Blockchain technology.
The event was hosted by the University of Nicosia and exclusively sponsored by Alcaeus Labs, the core team behind the DIW project which aims to use blockchain technology for direct and instant access to medical records.
- Attendees had the chance to learn more about Blockchain technology and the benefits it brings especially in conjunction with Artificial Intelligence.
- Speakers also presented other areas that can benefit from the implementation of blockchain technology in healthcare such as prevention of insurance fraud.
- Participants discussed the challenges presented during the application of blockchain technology.
- Round table discussions on identifying the problems of current health records and possible benefits of implementing electronic health records on a decentralized platform.
University of Nicosia will publish an Official research paper on the findings of the event to share the knowledge gained by the presence of these different industries experts.

Alcaeus labs provides complete online business solutions utilising the latest technologies and trends on the planet.
